Zamora & Villalba Are Ready for Round 2

Terry Zamora & Jobany Villalba are ready for 2nd season with the runners in 2022-23

It looks like round two in the arena soccer game for #17 Forward/Midfielder and #10 Midfielder Jobany Villalba. Both Zamora and Villalba will be returning for another exciting season of New Mexico Runners arena soccer.

Terry Zamora is a local soccer standout who graduated from Eldorado High School in 2017. Zamora came 

to the Runners by coach's invitation early in the 2021-22 season to workout and "dust off the cobwebs". He was on the reserves squad up until the remaining 4 games of last season where he suited up for his Major Arena Soccer League Debut. Out of the 4 games played, Zamora mustered up 2 goals and 2 assists. The 2 goals scored were in one game against Colorado where New Mexico defeated the Inferno 16-10.

Jobany Villalba is another local soccer standout who graduated from Atrisco Heritage Academy in Albuquerque. Villalba was one to try his foot out in the Major Arena Soccer League. With no previous indoor soccer experience, he was able to adjust to the game with ease utilizing his talents. Villalba scored 8 goals with 3 assists in his rookie season while scoring over 50% of every shot he took. Jobany came out strong early in the season and looks to fire out of the canon again for the 2022-23 season.

Both Zamora and Villalba both represent the talent we have in the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area and have committed to growing the sport of arena soccer.

The New Mexico Runners will kick off their fourth season on the road against the Kansas Bandits December 18th. The first home match will take place on Saturday January 7th, 2023 with a 2:05 PM kick-off at the Rio Rancho Events Center (3001 Civic Center Circle Dr. NW, Rio Rancho, NM 87144).
