The Saviors Have Returned for Season 4

Goalkeepers Nate Yeager & Hector "Chuckie" Castaneda RE-SIGNED FOR 2022-23 SEASON

The "Saviors" have come again as the last line of defense for the New Mexico Runners 4th season! Both #2 Nate Yeager and #99 Hector "Chuckie" Castaneda are returning for their 2nd season with the Runners. 

Nate Yeager is a local product who graduated from Rio Rancho High School and is currently an educator. He attended college Concordia University Wisconsin where he played with their soccer squad for 4 years. Yeager also played with Bavarian FC in the United Premier Soccer League.

Yeager had an outstanding season in his Major Arena Soccer League rookie season with over 100 saves at all home games alone. His amazing home performance helped raise $1000 for the Others May Live Foundation charity in partnership with 3D Security Services. Nate has some of the fastest feet in the MASL2. This season there will be some exciting saves from Yeager.

Hector Castaneda also known as "Chuckie" returns for his 3rd season in the Major Arena Soccer League 2 and his 2nd with the Runners. He played 2 in games in the 2021-22 season, but had a season ending ankle injury. In the 2 games Castaneda played in, he had a total of 10 save. His MASL2 career boasts 50 saves.

Castaneda is one of the largest advocate for the arena soccer game. His drive to compete and grow the sport in the community is unmatched. He recently was invited to the Major Arena Soccer League's Inaugural Combine a few weeks ago in Dallas, TX where he showcased his talent for a chance to be picked up by a major market team. He didn't make the draft, but that didn't break his spirits as he's determined more than ever to play hard this upcoming season.

The New Mexico Runners will kick off their fourth season on the road against the Kansas Bandits December 18th. The first home match will take place on Saturday January 7th, 2023 with a 2:05 PM kick-off at the Rio Rancho Events Center (3001 Civic Center Circle Dr. NW, Rio Rancho, NM 87144).
