New Mexico Runners Host Wichita Wings this Sunday

RIO RANCHO RESIDENTS GET IN FREE FOR RIO RANCHO COMMUNITY DAY

Rio Rancho, NM (February 24, 2020) - New Mexico Runners arena soccer kicks up again after a long two-week bye to host one of the oldest names in indoor soccer, the Wichita Wings this Sunday March 1st, 2020 at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho.

The New Mexico Runners currently hold a record of 4-5 on the season with a home record of 3-2, but still have a chance to make a playoff run with a win against the Wings (7-2) on Sunday.

The Wichita Wings are celebrating their 40th anniversary this season and anyone that knows indoor soccer knows who the Wings are. New Mexico lost to the Wings in their last meet up by a score of 9-3 back on January 12^th in Wichita, KS.

Sunday’s matinee with be donned Rio Rancho Community Day presented by the City of Rio Rancho and the Santa Ana Star Center. All Rio Rancho residents will get into the game for Free with a valid drivers license or ID showing they live in Rio Rancho.

Rio Rancho Youth Choir will be gathering to perform our national anthem before kick-off. The Runners are proud to collaborate and partner with non-profit organizations such as the Rio Rancho Youth Choir to foster new experiences across different audiences.

This community event gives Rio Ranchoans the chance to come out and experience the excitement of indoor soccer at te Santa Ana Star Center. Fans will get to see local soccer names including brothers Gabe and Nick Legendre, both who currently attend Cleveland High School and play on amateur development contracts.

New Mexico is looking for their first playoff berth with just five more games remaining in season 2.

The New Mexico Runners host the Wichita Wings at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, NM for Rio Rancho Community Day on Sunday March 1st, 2020. Doors open at 2 PM with a 3 PM MT kick off. Rio Rancho residents are free and regular tickets are only $13. A couple ribbon cutting ceremonies will be taking place before the game by the Hispano Chamber of Commerce as well as the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce to welcome the Runners to their membership.
