March 21st Game: 1st Responders & Military Appreciation Night

by Andres Trujillo

At our 1st First Responders and Military Apreciation Night, we invite all men and women in uniform to join us on this special evening to show appreciation and give a HUGE Runners "thank you" to all those who serve. From police to fire to EMS to all military branches, we salute you!

Come and hang out on Saturday March 21st, 2020 for an exciting night of fun, edge of your seat arena soccer action as your New Mexico Runners take on the Amarillo Bombers. Doors open at 4 PM with a 5:15 PM start.

The New Mexico Runners have partnered with an organization called Hero 2 Hero which helps to identify our heroes in need, and discreetly provide resources, support and resolutions, as well as supporting their families. Hero 2 Hero's mission is to help first responders find a counselor or peer support professional to help along with Yoga Therapy, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Silversmith Therapy, Massage Therapy, Horse Therapy, and Adrenaline Therapy.

Anyone of these forms of therapy are available by Professionals who know, understand and may live with PTSD themselves.

A special mini soccer game between the police and fire department will take place before the game! Who will take home the inaugural Roadrunner Responders Cup?

There will be lots of excitement with fire trucks, police vehicles, SWAT, rappellers, kids jumper, face painting, Magic Mirror Photo Booth, concourse activities and more!
