M2 ANNOUNCES 2018-19 MOUNTAIN DIVISION SCHEDULE
Each team will play a 12-game schedule for the upcoming M2 season.
The Major Arena Soccer League 2 (M2) will begin its second season this upcoming December. The 2018-19 Mountain Division Schedule has now been released. The Eastern and Pacific Division schedules are to be announced next week.
Expansion team New Mexico Elite will host the Colorado Inferno FC on Saturday December 8th along with the renamed Colorado Rumble (Formerly Colorado Blizzard) who will play host to another expansion team, Cuervos of Juarez, in the second game of Opening Night. Both games will kickoff at 7:00 Mountain Time.
The Cuervos are the official developmental team of the El Paso Coyotes of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL). The El Paso Coyotes become the third MASL team to feature an M2 Team as the Ontario Fury (Fury II) and San Diego Sockers (Sockers 2) competed in the inaugural M2 year with developmental teams and will compete again this season.
The last team in the Mountain Division to kickoff their expansion season will be the New Mexico Runners and what a game it will be as it will feature the two New Mexico teams. The Runners will host the Elite on Saturday December 15th at the Santa Ana Center in Rio Rancho at 7:00pm Mountain Time. This will be an instant rivalry, as both expansion teams will battle for bragging rights in their home state of New Mexico.
Each team will play 6 games at home and 6 away, with all games in regular season within their own division. The M2 playoff format will be announced shortly after the Eastern and Pacific Division schedules are released next week.
The regular season will end on Sunday March 10th highlighted by the Inferno FC hosting the New Mexico Runners at SoccerHaus at 6:00pm Mountain Time. For more information, or to view the entire schedule, go to m2soccer.com.
