Former Runner Moises Guajardo Passes Away

by Andres Trujillo

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Goalkeeper Moisés T Guajardo who left this earth on Sunday March 12th, 2019. Guajardo passed away due to a car accident sustained last week on Wednesday March 6th that left him on life support.

He was declared brain dead on Thursday March 7th and would be kept on life support because he chose to be a hero as an organ donor.

Moises was one of our own who started the season with us and he played in our inaugural season game where he played goalkeeper in our pre-season match-up.

He helped our team get ready for the season by working hard and stepping up when we needed him.

He was a competitor and will be missed by many . Guajardo left behind a baby on the way and this piece of him will be cherished by family and friends as well as a reminder of what a wonderful person Moises was.

The entire New Mexico Runners family thanks you for being a part of our team Moises and we will miss you.

We send our condolences to the family and friends of Moises.
