Exhibition Match Set Against NM Elite

The New Mexico Runners have agreed to scrimmage the New Mexico Elite in a mid-season exhibition match on Sunday February 16, 2020 at 5 PM MT. The friendly will be played at the Expo New Mexico Fairgrounds at the Horse Arena.

The Elite played in the MASL2 last season, but now are a part of the PASL (Premiere Arena Soccer League) which is a lower indoor soccer tier in the indoor soccer pyramid. 

An exhibition match up will be a good way for the Runners squad to get some field time on their second two-week bye this season. The last bye was a long and tough two weeks without a competitive game on the calendar which as anyone knows, can slow down momentum.

This match will be a great showcase for much of the Runners reserve squad and this will give them some field time they may not have seen yet this season.

"This is a cool little friendly we are exited to participate in," says Head Coach Steve Famiglietta. "I think it's a great way to scout local talent and provide a fun experience to local fans!"

The event is slated a double header as the New Mexico Lightning PASL women's team will take on the NM Elite Albuquerque Girls in a match listed to kick off at 3:30 PM.

The New Mexico Runners will take on the New Mexico Elite at the Expo New Mexico Fairgrounds Horse Arena located at 300 San Pedro NM Albuquerque, NM 87108 on Sunday February 16th, 2020. Fans are directed to enter through gate 6. Tickets are $15 at the door.
