Community: Rio Visits Meadowlark Senior Center

Rio Rancho, N.M. (September 11, 2019) - The seniors of Meadowlark Senior Center got a special surprise when the New Mexico Runners mascot Rio made a visit to the center!

Folks at the senior center were treated to a presentation of their hometown professional arena soccer team.

Owner and President Andres Trujillo spoke about the Runners organization and how they are working hard to bring the community together through the team.

Rio the Roadrunner hung out with the seniors and joined in their activities throughout the afternoon. Many paused and took photos with Rio and he definitely made their days with a fun presence.
