by Andres Trujillo

Albuquerque, N.M. (June 8, 2019) - "Rio" the Roadrunner, the New Mexico Runners mascot, cheered on and motivated participants in the 2019 Albuquerque Heart Walk by the American Heart Association.

Folks that participated in the Heart Walk, joined a million Heart Walk Heroes from across the nation raising funds for lifesaving science. Science that can teach us all how to live longer and be Healthy For Good.

The event took place at Hoffmantown Church in Albuquerque, NM and hundreds of people young and old participated in the event.

Rio wanted to make sure and encourage change for the better to help keep hearts everywhere beating. The New Mexico Runners have a mission to work together in the community and in doing so, we can take steps together to cure heart disease and stroke.
