Bash Brothers Return for 2022-23 Season

dEFENDERS cOLTON oORD & sKYLOR ROSE RE-SIGNED FOR 2022-23 SEASON

The "Bash Brothers" have officially returned for the New Mexico Runners' 2022-23 season in the Major Arena Soccer League 2! Both Defenders on the field, #4 Colton Oord and #7 Skylor Rose have re-signed with the squad to continue to defend the field.

Colton Oord has played with the Runners since 2019 and has an outstanding Major Arena Soccer League career. He has 20 MASL matches under his belt with 6 goals scored and 5 assists. Part of Oord's aggressive style of play has become some of the most exciting elements in the arena soccer game and season 4 for the Runners is going to be explosive on the defensive front.

Colton is also a high school soccer coach and physical education teacher for Albuquerque Public School. He is the Head Coach for the West Mesa High School boys soccer team and has coached student athletes for the past year. Oord is originally from Seattle, WA, attended Sterling College in Sterling, KS and has played in the PDL for the Dayton Dutch Lions.

Skylor Rose has proven himself to be a contender in the Major Arena Soccer League. Even though he plays a defensive focus, his ability to get up and down the field has been unmatched. Rose's Rookie season in the MASL was more than impressive with 12 Goals and 5 Assists. He has easily become a local fan favorite, especially when he's on the field at the same time with Oord.

From Albuquerque, NM, this Defender went to Volcano Vista High School and has played with local soccer club Rio Rapids, as well as the Colorado Rapids Academy. Rose puts his passion for soccer back into the community as he currently trains youth soccer athletes around town.

Both Oord and Rose both have become some of the fan favorites as they put on an aggressive and exciting show on the field! With their abilities to swarm to the ball and depose the ball from their opponents, season 4 is looking like a fireworks show on the defensive front.

The New Mexico Runners will kick off their fourth season on the road against the Kansas Bandits December 18th. The first home match will take place on Saturday January 7th, 2023 with a 2:05 PM kick-off at the Rio Rancho Events Center (3001 Civic Center Circle Dr. NW, Rio Rancho, NM 87144).
